Overview

Owned and operated by the University of Pennsylvania, the beautiful, green Penn Park is situated between Penn’s campus and the Schuylkill River waterfront.

The park features open space and recreational facilities available to the public.

Penn Park spans Walnut Street to South Street, with athletic fields for active visitors alongside lawns and meadows for those who prefer to relax and unwind.

Hours of operation are 6 a.m. to midnight daily.

Facilities can even be reserved for private games and events.

The Experience

Set on 24 acres of open, green space, Penn Park delights everyone from elite collegiate athletes to Philadelphians looking to enjoy casual outdoor relaxation.

Elevated bridges connect the various courts and fields.

The park also boasts 530 trees, including catalpa, hackberry, white pine, larch and balsam pine trees, that provide a natural canopy for the walking and jogging paths.

Things to Do

Penn Park is home to NCAA-regulation facilities for sports of all kinds.

Ace Adams Field and Dunning-Cohen Champions Field offer multipurpose athletic fields. A 470-seat multipurpose stadium includes a women’s softball field, and 12 tennis courts are accompanied by 200-seat viewing stands.
