BONUS: Before dinner, head to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway for the annual 6abc/Dunkin’ Thanksgiving Day Parade, the oldest parade of its kind in the U.S. complete with festive floats, giant balloons, lively dancers, costumed characters, celebrities and marching bands.
At this restaurant in the AKA Rittenhouse Hotel, guests can order a $65 three-course prix-fix menu from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. First-course options include pumpkin curry soup with brown butter, Swiss chard, and chestnut dumpling. Choose from among heritage turkey, salmon with mussels sauce, braised short rib, or winter roots lasagna for the second course. Top it off with your choice of pie for dessert.

Bank & Bourbon at Loews Philadelphia Hotel serves up a not-to-be-missed Thanksgiving buffet for $70 for adults (with an optional $35 wine pairing) and $22 for kids ages 12 and under. The spread includes fresh oysters and seafood; a carving station with roasted salmon, turkey and prime rib; and classic sides like brioche-sage stuffing, green bean almondine and candied yams. An array of pies in flavors like maple-bourbon, pumpkin, and sweet potato are on the menu for dessert.

For Thanksgiving on the Main Line, head to The Bercy in Ardmore. Diners seated between 5 and 10 p.m. can choose a-la-carte dishes or opt for a three-course prix-fixe menu for $65 that includes crowd-pleasers like French onion soup, turkey roulade, cider-glazed pork loin, and pumpkin pie.

Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s elegant new Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia restaurant at the top of the Comcast Technology Center offers a four-course Thanksgiving menu for $148 per person for lunch or dinner. Dishes include bay scallop crudo with cranberry vinaigrette and fresh wasabi, Maine lobster with roasted romanesco cauliflower and jade emulsion, and grilled wagyu beef tenderloin with silken, roasted and glazed carrots and miso-mustard sauce.

The special Thanksgiving Day breakfast menu at Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s swanky lounge in the sky comes with a view of the 6abc/Dunkin’ Thanksgiving Day Parade from 60 stories up in the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia. The $48 continental breakfast is available from 8-11 a.m. and features pastries, fresh fruit and avocado, smoked salmon and a prosciutto platter — plus buttermilk pancakes, oatmeal with fall spices and scrambled eggs. JG SkyHigh also air the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV. The all-day menu resumes at 11 a.m., and a live jazz band performs from 3 to 7 p.m.

The Thanksgiving a-la-carte menu at Jones includes standard favorites plus a holiday prix-fixe option. The $35 three-course Thanksgiving deal starts with a choice of soups and salads as a warm-up for the main show: roasted turkey with turkey sausage stuffing, glazed carrots, haricots verts, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce. For dessert, diners can try a warm apple pie, Duncan Hines chocolate cake, pecan pie or pumpkin pie.

At The Rittenhouse’s acclaimed Lacroix Restaurant, executive chef Jon Cichon offers an indulgent Thanksgiving Day spread from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m for $105 per person (half price for kids 10 and under). The offerings include a raw bar, canapés like foie gras s’mores, salads, hand-carved meat and fish, cheese and charcuterie. Signature entrees include coq au vin and smoked turkey pot pie.

Give thanks this year at The Radnor Hotel, where the expansive holiday buffet costs $46.95 for adults and $19.95 for kids ages 5-11. The menu, served noon – 5 p.m., includes a mashed potato bar, roast turkey with giblet gravy, candied sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, and mushroom ravioli. Be sure to save room for sweet treats at the decadent chocolate fountain.

Give thanks while helping those in need at Red Owl Tavern. A special holiday meal includes turkey with traditional sides and all the trimmings for $24. All month long, for every pumpkin and apple cranberry streusel pie sold a donation will be made to Philabundance.

In honor of the holiday, Ruth’s Chris Steak House offers a special three-course Thanksgiving feast. For $41.95 ($14.95 for kids), guests can enjoy a soup or salad starter, hand-carved turkey with sausage and herb stuffing, a side dish and a dessert duo. Diners who prefer to stick with red meat can order off of the restaurant’s regular menu.

At Scarpetta at The Rittenhouse guests can celebrate Thanksgiving with a $68 four-course, prix-fixe menu with options like chestnut soup, tagliatelle bolognese and pancetta-wrapped heritage turkey. For dessert, try the signature espresso budino.

In addition to the full regular a-la-carte menu at Serpico, Thanksgiving diners can order a special entree that comes with roasted turkey breast, braised dark meat, gravy, stuffing with mushrooms and onions, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, roasted winter squash with sage and brown butter, fried Brussels sprouts and a dinner roll. The dining room is open 4-9 p.m. on Thanksgiving and the special entree runs $34 per person.

At Smokin’ Betty’s in Midtown Village, diners can enjoy a three-course prix-fixe meal with holiday delights like roast turkey, honey-bourbon baked ham, cornbread muffins and pumpkin pie. Dinner costs $35.00 for adults and $19.95 for kids. The kitchen closes at 8 p.m., but guests can keep the party going at the bar until 10 p.m.

Hop aboard the Spirit of Philadelphia for a Thanksgiving meal on a cruise along the Delaware River. The buffet spread includes options like bow tie pasta salad, green bean casserole, roast turkey, mac and cheese, and vanilla bean mousse. The two-hour trip departs at 3 p.m., and guests are asked to arrive by 2:30 p.m. Tickets cost $79.90.

Thanksgiving dinner at Square 1682 is a $65 special prix-fixe meal with dishes like bone marrow ravioli, cornbread, slow roasted turkey breast, challah stuffing and whipped sweet potatoes. The five-course meal also includes a hearty vegan cauliflower curry and desserts like apple biscuit bread putting. Seatings are available between 4 and 9 p.m.

Head to Society Hill to celebrate Thanksgiving at The Twisted Tail.
